Can We Safely Ignore the Government?

There is no distinctively native American criminal class, save Congress.

Any parent knows you don’t take your eyes off a three-year old. If it seems too quiet around the house, an unsupervised little one may be getting into some sort of trouble.

The government is a lot like a 3 year old … with a sledgehammer.

The news can be a downer, sure. And government is boring. Ha! They do that on purpose so you won’t pay attention. You’d be amazed at what they are getting away with while we aren’t looking.

The Founding Fathers expected an ongoing battle against tyranny. Even when we elect well intentioned people, they all too often become victims of “the swamp” when they arrive at the capitol, whether it’s Salt Lake City or Washington DC. Lying in wait for them are lobbyists and special interests practiced in the arts of “M-I-C-E”  — Money, Ideology, Coercion, or Ego.

The only corrective is for us to pay attention. We have to reinforce obedience to the oath of office our elected representatives took to defend the Constitution (which guarantees our liberty) and to represent the interests of us, the voters back home.

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.

Make an investment in freedom by knowing what’s going on and speaking out about it. You can go in person to a school board or county commission meeting or tune in by video. And when you find out what’s going on, share the information with others who can join you in putting the brakes on the sledgehammering.
